ABOUT JEN HUNT, MSMI, CMI
Originally from Southern California, Jen moved to Iowa to attend Iowa State University. It was there where she was first introduced to the field of scientific illustration. Initially a biology major, she was lucky enough to come upon ISU's Biological/Pre-medical Illustration program and after falling in love with this wonderfully unique field, she graduated in 2015 with a B.A. in BPMI. She decided to attend graduate school where she continued her education in science, art and communication. She attended Augusta University where she earned an M.S. in Medical Illustration in May 2018. Her passion is bringing her artistic skills and scientific knowledge together to visualize medicine in new and unique ways. She is especially interested in developing her 3D animation skills. Her artwork has been in several juried exhibitions, including the Iowa State Fair where she won first place and an honorable mention.
She currently lives in Los Angeles with her two cats, Lucy and Ollie. She enjoys discovering new music and podcasts and in her free time likes staying active and exploring the city. She is also passionate about mental health and volunteering in her community.
