ABOUT JEN HUNT
Originally a Southern California native, Jen moved to Iowa to attend Iowa State University. It was there where she was first introduced to the field of scientific illustration. Initially a biology major, she was lucky enough to come upon ISU's Biological/Pre-medical Illustration program and after falling in love with this wonderfully unique field, she graduated in 2015 with a B.A. in BPMI. Still with a spring in her step, she decided to attend graduate school where she continued her education in science, art and communication. She attended Augusta University where she earned an M.S. in Medical Illustration this past May. She is an active student member of the Association of Medical Illustrators. Her passion is bringing her artistic skills and scientific knowledge together to visualize medicine in new and unique ways. She is especially interested in developing her 3D animation skills. Her artwork has been in several juried exhibitions, including the Iowa State Fair where she won first place and an honorable mention in drawings.
She currently lives in Centennial, Colorado and in her free time is an avid reader and a mediocre but enthusiastic swing dancer. She also enjoys discovering new music and podcasts.
